The Galvan Rush fly reel series has been designed for the more budget conscious fly angler in mind. It is very similar in design to its bigger brother - the Torque series - only with a simpler frame and spool design.
This is a large arbor design reel that is manufactured from 6061 barstock aluminum.
The drag system is exactly the same as that in the high-end Torque series, and is manufactured from stainless steel and Ertalyte - a high-tech space-age thermoplastic material that is both heat resistant and wear resistant. The drag also incorporates a self-lubricating Peek HPV bushing.
With a recommended retail price in the US$200/$350 range, this reel offers very high end performance at a mid-range cost. It is suitable for both fresh and saltwater angling environments.
