The Ross Evolution fly fishing reel is the jewel in the crown of Americas most popular fly reel manufacturer. Machined from a single piece of proprietary Aluminium alloy, it is a large arbor reel that is the lightest in its class.
The real bonus of this reel cannot even be seen with the eye. It is the high-end triple redundant drag system, designed and built to cater for the most demanding of situations.
Each model in the range has been individually and uniquely designed with a specific diameter and width, in order to maximize the properties of drag consistency and rapid line retrieval.
There are 6 different sized reels in this Evolution series. The table below indicates the different specifications of each model. Each model is also available in Black, Copper and Slate-Blue color (as you can see in the adjacent picture).

"It is smooth and easy to use. I am a 70 year old grandmother, who at 65 took up fly fishing and I feel I need the very best to learn with at this time in my life. This reel is the very best .... Cannot say enough about this reel."

To show how good the drags are in the modern high performance equipment, the guys from Field and Stream's fly fishing blog hooked a Ross Evolution fly reel up to the back of a motorbike. Check this out !!
"This large arbor reel has an incredibly smooth drag sytem that is virtually maintenance free. In the copper finish it's quite an eye-catcher too! I highly recommend this reel."
